Melissa K. flipped her blond hair proudly over her shoulder so she could see its full length in the mirror. Her hair grew fast and thick and drew admiration everywhere she went. People who first met Melissa sometimes thought she was conceited about her beautiful tresses and overly concerned about how long her hair grew. Melissa’s friends knew better.
