It Has Been A Rough Year

I am adding this additional chapter to my introduction, because after I initially wrote the introduction, it was very difficult to come back to it and try to make sense of all that I have experienced through the various stages of my life and the trials that I have endured or overcome.  I wish ...

"Beginning to put together a BLOG"

Technology is always somewhat ahead of me, as it is for most of us these days (and in the past 40 years?).

I actually set up a blog a few months ago just to have one, then hardly posted anything, and have been getting various advice on using "social media" to get "out there" whatever information I want. It's an ongoing learning curve. http://www.Twitter.com is one of my favorite ways of connecting and attempting to spread the word and I've had excellent luck with ut, such as meeting Kristen Kuhns, which lead to being featured on Story of My Life.

Suddenly I'm nearly overwhelmed with support and activity concerning the rebirthing, this time internationally, of my jazz-vocalist career. I figure it's easiest for me to direct anyone interested to visit the blog to catch up, give feedback and otherwise interact about my music, what I've learned that can benefit them, what I know about life and creativity, how I do what I do at 72 (in 2+ weeks), current and future hopes and dreams and progress reports.

The blog is a work-in-progress on which I've posted this kind of news and posts created, published and/or recorded by people I've met on Twitter and elsewhere. More to come ...

Please check out http://ellifordycesblog.blogspot.com/ for additions and to leave comments, make requests, email me privately and whatever else you might think up. You're very welcome and the stuff most important to me is now all in one place. Whew!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Elli (aka Elli_Fordyce)

Hi Elli

Why not just post them here? The problem with blogs is that if you stop using them, after a period of time they'll be deleted etc. all that hard work lost.

The whole point of *this* site is to keep that kind of stuff forever - creating a legacy of your work, thoughts, important feelings and what you leave behind. And even better, you can link your stories to your loved ones - friends, family, causes, etc. and that's way better than a blog sitting out there alone in cyber space.

Just my two cents on the matter.

Miss Elli

I very much admire you for taking the proverbial bull by the horns. You're taking life for all it's worth and that's inspirational to many.

With regards,
Archibald Sharron

You are welcome Miss Elli

I am too old to remember where or how go to your blog, so if they're posted here I'll read. As my grandkids say, "lol".

With regards,
Archibald Sharron

Oops! I meant Kristen Kuhns

In my last post, I added a name that has nothing to do with this site, I meant Kristen Kuhns. Sorry, Kristen (how soon they forget). I couldn't find a way to edit the post itself to correct it in perpetuity.

Best,

Elli

What I learned

The best part - you can always edit on here. Trust me, Miss Elli, I've made plenty of mistakes that my kids and grandkids made me change "right away or they'll put me in a home" (ha!)  If you find your story, click on the "edit" button (in the middle main section area, little icon button thingy that if you hold your little mousey thingy over the button says "edit" you can edit the story and repost it).

Thank goodness for grandkids who show me how to use this stuff or else I'd be a muddler.

With regards,
Archibald Sharron

hi Elli

I agree with the wisdom of the crowds, repost them here too and I'll read them - I'll forget about the blog, no matter *how* good my intentions are.

I looked for your blog but couldn't find it. Some of us are not so computer gifted so I'll read it here when they post it. Thanks for sharing with us and I want nothing but success for you my dear!
