Born in Todmorden, Yorkshire West Riding, Henry Halstead was by trade a Master Butcher who eventually had approximately 14 shops over the North West of England (from Todmorden, through Bolton, Bury, Preston and Formby).
He married Eliza Butterworth in 1918. They had three children, John (b.1911) ,Ida and Jack (b.1914). John, born in 1911 died in the October of 1911.Sadly Eliza died (d.?)
In the autumn of 1923 Henry married again, to an Elizabeth E Linguard. They had one son, Peter Ronald Halstead, born in the summer of 1924, and sadly died aged 5 1/2 years old on May 17th 1930.
Henry died in early summer if 1958 and is buried in Formby, Merseyside.
