This Christmas was memorable to me because of the weather. It was the conservatory’s first Christmas and the weather was appalling. High winds and sheeting rain. The wind was so strong that the roof of the conservatory started to lift – we had no idea whether or not it would stay on so decided that the curtains must be taken down. The TV aerial was dislodged and was flapping around dangerously so in the spirit of slightly inebriated men, Dave and I decided that it would be a good idea to get up on the roof to fix it. A very scary experience in a howling gale!
