Over 500 years ago, the n word was created as a part of a plan to control and destroy a black man of all of his self-worth.
The description of this word to a slave meant that he was less then nothing. It was not only just about the color of his skin but who he is as a whole. They say this word stems from hate, I also believe it stems from fear.
Have you ever known a person who feels as though you are better than they are? Although, they will not admit it, you can tell by their words. Every chance that they get, they will try to tare you down in every negative way. They want to destroy your belief in yourself along with your spirit.
This word was not just used to call a slave by name, but to create a belief system of who they were.
The name represents the description. By telling you, what this word means. I am using one word to describe who you are, not in part but as a whole. When a slave heard the n word they did not heard today’s meaning a black man, they heard you are nothing worthless stupid ignorant not fit to breathe the same air. You are lower then an animal.
The Bible says that life and death is in the power of the tongue. This word was created to destroy our belief in who we are. One word holds authority over a nation and is continuing to be a controversy. A word that was given to our antecessor to describe who they were. A word in which the receiver has the authority to give it power. If I being the receiver choose to give this word spoken over me power; I therefore, give the giver the authority over me. I give him the authority to create a belief system for me that will tell me who I am.
How can a white man and a black man be in controversy over a word that was created to destroy the self worth of a black man, where is the dispute?
Now we add the letter a, at the end of the word and call it amongst ourselves and it is ok. Why? When a black person says it, it’s not meant or used with hate. But yet you take a word that was not only used for hate but also used for the destruction of a black nation. Did the definition change?
How can you speak death over me in a positive way? This word has no power or authority over me. Call me what you will. I have the authority to receive it or not. I chose not to receive death spoken over me.
Since the creator of the word did not create me. I can only be described by my creator. God. And He says that I am a child of the most high God. To be exact He called me a god, a royal priesthood, a joint heir with Christ, fearfully and wonderfully made.
Stop giving the creator of this word power and authority over you.
