It Has Been A Rough Year

I kept my mouth shut! I turned sideways and spread my legs apart a lil just in case the "wife" wanted to try something. I was gonna need room in that bathroom to knock the hell outta her. She seemed to be real impatient, not impatient with me , but impatient as if she was waiting for something. Kinda like when you're little waiting for christmas morning. Yeah, that kind of impatient. We walked out of the bathroom and she asked me why I didn't put on the gown? I told her it itched. (i lied) Sometimes you gotta lie to get out of some real unexpected bullshit. As we walked down the hall, a long hallway, I wondered how in the hell there seemed to be so much space in that trailor when outside it didn't look that big. There was a bedroom on the left, I was about to enter it when "the wife" popped me in the back of my head and said "no, go in here" with alot of sarcasm in her voice. I took in a deep breath. Keep calm girl. This is what the Hulk must feel like. When I walked into the room on the right I saw "the husband". He was laying on a huge bed, under a sheet with no shirt on. Judging by the "shape" of things under the sheet I knew immediately he was naked. My heart damn near stopped in my chest. Instead of fear though, I felt white.... hot...... anger. I never knew what "white hot" anger meant when I read about it some of my books, but I knew this had to be it. It's kind of scarey. It's like being mad X's a billion and knowing the only thing that could quench the anger is to literally tear a mutha 'fker limb from limb! I MEAN LIMB FROM ACTUAL LIMB. I once saw a video on Faces of Death of a man in Russia who hadn't paid his taxes. The narrator said the taxes equaled something like $14. US dollars. Anyway, they tied that man to 4 horses and had them horses each run in opposite directions tearing that man apart. I think they called it "DRAWN AND QUARTERED".  My point is, thats whatI pictured doing to that bastard, while his wife watched. OOOh I wanted to show them! But yall know what? In some bugged out way, I knew I was going to get out of what ever these two perverts had planned. I somehow knew it. I heard the bedroom door close behind me, heard the "click". "The wife" put her hand on my shoulder and said "come lay down and watch tv with us til you fall asleep". She turned on a tv and moved back behind me , I guess she wanted to be between me and the door. I played the role of "unsuspecting child" to the hilt. I climbed onto the foot of the bed and sat indian style. "The wife" said "get comfortable", I said "I am". I kept my head turned to the side so I could see "the husband" thru my peripheral vision. I was good at seeing thru my peripheral, I had to keep an eye out for my mothers famous (for no reason) lighting speed slaps. I saw thru my peripheral that "the husband" was motionng to "the wife". She then said "oh yeah, your mother told me you were catching a cold, I have some syrup here for you". A cold! What was this bitch talking about? I didn't have no f'king cold! I turned to see a bottle of something sitting on a nightstand with a rag wrapped around it. Uh Uh! I wasn't drinking shit! "The wife" moved around to the head of her bed away from the door. She took off her robe and was naked! She sat on the edge of the bed and picked up the pillows and started throwing them on the floor. Her husband leaned over and turned on a small light on his side of the bed. I knew whatever I was going to do I needed to do it now while the both of them were naked! The "husband" lifted up his pillows and I saw a facecloth and tissue under there with some lollipops. I BOUNCED! I hit that door so fast and pulled the knob with all my mutha f'king might! I heard "the husband" yell "we paid for you"! Then something hit the wall inches from my head! I smelled something cherry like. To my astonishment the door frame tore away from the wall and I was in that long ass hallway hauling ass! Flo Jo would have been so proud of me! I burst out that trailor and ran around to the back of it and hid under it. I knew I 'd be in the  open if I tried to run up the gravel road toward my house. Behind their trailor was a ditch. I thought about shimmying down in there but I couldn't see shit! I just stayed put. I heard yelling and footsteps back and forth above my head. I also heard my heartbeat. I really actually heard my own heart beat. Was I holding my breath? Probably so. I heard feet on gravel and looked up. The "wife" was walking around outside. How did she get out of the house? She didn't come out the front, there must have been another door that I didn't see somewhere in the house. Probably in the kitchen. How come I hadn't seen it? "The wife" walked around back and I thought "i'm caught". She walked right up to where I was at, but couldn't see me. She bent down and looked under the house, dead into my face, but she couldn't see me! Her eyes hadn't adjusted to the dark! I...didn't.....move....a....mussssscle! She got up and went back into the house. I heard her talking to her husband. I was shocked at what I heard! "the husband " kept on saying he "wanted his money back" and to "get that bitch over here right now"! I don't know how long I was under that trailor but someone came running up to the trailor and knocked on the other door. It was my mother. I heard her asking "what the fuck happened and where the fuck was I"? She wanted to know "what was done and did they say anything to me". I remembered my mother saying something about "leaving and that this was their fault and that she wasn't giving back shit"! She left after arguing with "the couple" and ran home. I stayed there til I didn't here any voices. I only heard footsteps, occassionally. I went back to my house. I climbed up on a wash pail and looked into the windows. Nobody was there. I tried the doorknob and the door opened. I went inside, snuck in my room and hid in the closet. I fell asleep there. I awoke  and saw light coming into the window. It must be dawn. Somebody was knocking on the door! It might be the police! I got up and snuck out and peered thru the window. It was my neighbor (the one that bakes cookies) and my lil sister! I ran and opened the door! She asked if my momma was home. She looked mad. She said something about having to go to work and not being able to babysit. I said ok and took my sisters' hand. She said to make sure I told my mother that she wanted to talk to her and to knock on her door around 6pm that evening. I said "ok" and shut the door. We didn't see our mother for a whole month. Everyday I ran out to meet the Piggly Wiggly truck because I knew the driver was going to throw out some brownies and moonpies to the kids. That was our dinner everyday for a month.
