I found out I was pregnant in July. I had been having stomach problems and was seeing the doctor I worked for and discussing medication. I was taking the EMT training class and had the exam and practical. I passed!!!! and afterwards my classmates all went to Pizza Hut on Battlefield Blvd, in Chesapeake, Va. to celebrate. I love pizza, and we were laughing and carrying on, and all the sudden I was not feeling so well. I left the table and when I came back the pizza was there, I had to leave again. I came back to alot of smack, one of my classmates started taunting me that his wife did that and then found out a week or so later that she was pregnant. Well, I guess he was a prophet because... I went in to the office and had a blood test and viola'. I got the news on a Friday night. After work I went by a Women's health office to get all the pamphlets and information, I was about 4 weeks pregnant so the clock was already ticking. Well, perfect timing.. Chris's team was cleaning this office that night and they just pulled in as I was leaving. He called me on the phone and asked "Does this mean what I think it means", I replied.. "Yeah", he said "uh. okay well see you tonight". The next day I received my EMT license in the mail. I was not able to run, due to being pregnant and not being able to drive the ambulance.
I never really looking pregnant, people just thought I was putting on weight. I did not wear maternity clothes until the beginning of December.
We were active in the Foresters Fraternal group called a Court. We were having our installation dinner and dance to install the officers.
