The day is Thursday December 31, 2009 and we are about to celebrate New Year's Eve in Washington DC with family & friends. However, one of us will be "partying" less hard than the others (if eating pizza, playing games and listening to music is still considered 'wild & crazy'!!) our dearest Vikki who is pregnant with a little baby.
As we let this year slip quietly away, without too much remorse, we peer into 2010 trying to understand what it holds in its folds and what secrets it will lay at our feets. One will be whether you, Baby Back(er) Ribs, are a boy or a girl.
You are the 1st grandchild on this side of the family and will be born into a loving home with lots of good people around to support and love you unconditionally. Yes, this means even when you *royally* screw up and we're very angry we still love you.
Vikki & Nick will find out in less than 2 weeks your gender. From there things will slowly start to arrange themselves into shape. Whatever gender or type of person you are is ok with us.
Happy New Year Baby Back(er) Ribs, as we cheer on the coming year with hope and new life and the abundance of joy that you will bring into our lives simply by existing.
