I remember the first time I saw him, standing on his front porch as I would run through his yard to get to my friend's house. At that time he was a goofy kid and I just knew him as the boy across the street. A year went by, he moved and I had forgotten about him. Junior year we met again walking through the gym, our eyes would meet and he would give me a smile and a nod. He had grown up, spiked hair, button down shirt. These nods went on for awhile until my friend invited him to my 17th surprise birthday party. We didn't talk to much but him showing up was an improvement from those nods in the hall. The next time I saw him I was on my way to dinner with my friend when he showed up at dinner with his white button down shirt, slacks and his leather jacket with a single rose. Needless to say it was an embarrassing dinner when I walked out of the bathroom with paper stuck to my foot, classic right? haha well it couldn't of been to bad because he stayed. Since then we started dating. One night we played a game of "war" with a group of friends laughing and making jokes, as we parked at the destination; the grocery store, he turned up the song Iris and had me dance with him in the middle of the parking lot, that moment was our first kiss. Him leaving for Basic was a big wake up call. I missed him so much that flying to Chicago and jumping in his arms was the best night ever. More months went on when he was far away, when he came home in Christmas he proposed. Now I couldn't be happier married to my Husband. He has my heart. | Comments No Comments have been posted yet. |
