I recall being pretty happy much of the time as a child. Once and a while, I felt a little blue and dejected and the place where I liked to escape to was my brother's closet. I don't think it had a door and it was a small square, cozy area just right for a little sulking. I think there was sometimes a cover on the floor that was just right for hiding under. I don't think I was ever in hiding very long before my mom came to soothe me and coax me out of the closet. If I knew what life was like sometimes, I might have opted to stay in her womb. That closest was the next best thing. | |
