SWWF stands for Social Worker with a future. The reason I say that, she is fairly smart, not brilliant, but smart enough to know she's not brilliant, but very meticulous, and controlling to make up for what she lacks. She will probably be a supervisor soon, and maybe more than that. I like her. We went out Saturday because someone reported children staying in a home where folks were making meth. The police clear the home, there may have been a lab there, but these folks had a warning before we or the police arrived, and plenty of time to clean it up. The people living there had already had thier children removed, There was a young woman and man and two small children. The young man/dad had been in a bad accident and was knocked out on the couch, he had just gotten out of the hospital. Mom's eyes were very black under neath, and she said she had not slept for three days. Her pupils looked normal but her movements were jerky, her speech was fast and she had sores under her nose, and scars on her arms from shooting up in the past. She thought the things she said were smarter than they actually were. I can't reinact in writing, but it would have been humorous were it not so sad. Those children went to thier grandmother.
Then we went to look for a mom who was running from a domestically violent man. He must have been pretty bad if the reporter was to be believed. We didn't find her and folks weren't telling us where she was.
Sunday we went out on a stupid report that did not amount to anything. Child with Reactive Attachment Disorder ran away from home so his guardian supposedly beat him. No marks on that one, the child was fine, but guess what... Our supervisor wanted him moved anyway, so we had to move him. (no I did not agree with the decision, and would not have been the decision I made, but perhaps supervisor was privy to some information that I did not have)
