I was born in a town in Quebec Canada that is so small I could walk across it in 20 minutes. Even so it has its own telephone company, a post office, the biggest grocery store in the region and our own mountain for skiing. Warwick had a lot of things going for it, especially being the home of the national dish “Poutine.” Not far from Montreal and Quebec City, we had a lot of fun growing up in Canada.
Once I graduated college as a mechanical engineer, I decided to switch to the more lucrative and interesting career working as a software developer. However, Canada’s employment and high taxes compelled me to come to the United States. I became a US citizen in 2006 and now live in the heart of all technology – Silicon Valley.
I have had the idea for Story of My Life for as long as I can remember. I registered the name back in 1997. At that time everyone was doing desktop applications and I had to learn how and to wait until the web came into popularity. I had been operating my own software company and was getting ready to implement the site, but the dot-bomb crash occurred around 2001. Story of My Life was put on hold until we re-opened the work in 2005.
Story of My Life is the “Storyopedia” of people’s life Stories. A “Humanopedia” categorizing important things about people to share through the generations. Story of My Life is a place where you leave your legacy; place secrets in a time capsule, and transfer your stories to your next generation. You will not find anywhere else people as determined as us to give you the best choices for writing your Story and leaving your legacy behind.
