I am one of the co-founders of this website. The CEO had actually reserved this name in 1997, and has been thinking about a site like this ever since. When the time seemed right, what with the influx of new user generated content (often referred to as "Web 2.0") and newly emerging technologies such as Ajax and more, we decided to build and launch.

I'm very proud of this site. We are working on improving the "user experience" when people come to the site and add their Story to the site. So my door

I'm going to start my Story with stories of all the dogs I've had (and have). I am truly a dog lover and gravitate towards others who love animals, although I understand they are not for everyone. So bear with me while I sort through the complexity that is fondness of the human-canine variety and work backwards from there.

I currently live in the East Bay of San Francisco, spend a lot of time in "the city", Silicon Valley, and Tahoe. I like the East Bay a lot, and helped found a large non-profit association there www.ebig.org that puts on events and more for technology people. I care very much about the community here and want it to thrive. I believe that being able to "have it all" is important - job that makes you feel as though your contributions matter and is challenging, family and friends, volunteer time, and fulfillment.
