I grew up in Detroit, Michigan and since 1999, I have lived in Northern Virginia, Cambridge, Massachusetts and now sunny California!  I made the move west this summer and I absolutely love living here!  I moved to California for warm weather, blue skies, sunshine and the entrepreneurial spirit of Silicon Valley.  I am an avid genealogist who frequently writes and lectures on Beginning and African American Genealogy.  I love research and the research process, specifically discovering new family connections.  With each new discovery, I want to learn more about my family and my history. I am currently developing a website to help African Americans discover their heritage.
