I come from a small town in south east Ontario, not to far north of Belleville, about 60miles south of Bancroft, on Highway 62. Located about two and one half hours east of Toronto, Madoc is a small town of about 1200 people surrounded by farmland and quite a few creeks, rivers, and Lakes. 

    Growing up here, though isolated somewhat from large urban centers, was a very happy experience filled with 2 siblings, and both my parents who were also raised in, or near, this small community. Everybody pretty much knew one another, and their business as well. 

    Everything changed for good in 1972 when our family was transfered to Morgantown Pa. when Bethlehem Steel moved my Father there after the mine in Marmora was just about spent. Prep School, College, and my own life have emerged from these beginnings after leaving home at 14 to attend school. What I have attempted here is to give an account of some of those moments in my life that have touched me, in one way or another.
