My name is Krisna, I'm 41 years old and I was born and raised in the Seattle area. I have three younger sisters; Kari who is 35, Kelli who is 33 and Karla who is 30. All three of my sisters have children. Kari has an 11 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. Kelli has a 15 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. And Karla has a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old daughter. My sisters and I are very close and we are all close with different members of our family as well. My dad and I are extremely close. My dad and I have always been close but when I was 8 years old he donated a kidney to me. Unfortunately it rejected when I was 16 and I had to go on dialysis for about five months before getting one from an organ donor when I was 17. I have now had a total of four kidney transplants (1980, 1989, 1996 & 1998) and have been back on dialysis since September 6, 2002. A lot of my writings will have to do with my health. My kidney specialist calls me his miracle patient. Read my story to find out why. But there are a lot of of other stories in my life too! I have always had a good sense of humor and am a huge smart aleck! I get that from my dads' family. Even my grandmother can be a smart aleck! My sisters are all that way too! I was lucky enough to find a man who is the same way! My family is the most important thing to me in the world. Especially my sisters, my parents and my paternal grandmother. I hope you enjoy reading my stories. I have no problem with people asking me questions. It's the only way to get the word out. One in nine has Chronic Kidney Disease and don't even know it! So please, if you have questions, ask! It has never bothered me to talk about my illness!
Thank you again for reading my stories!
